Headlight restoration appears to be a growing tread as each year passes and more and more headlights turn cloudy and ugly.

Welcome to AG! Personally, I've only done a couple headlight fixes but none where I actually sanded. I've got some decent results from just working from compound to polish. I could see if I looked really close where I would have had a better finished product had I wetsanded.
Anyways...welcome again! post up some work in a thread and tell us some tips and what not.
