headliner detailing

what's the best way to clean, protect, and maintain headliners? Have tried diluted megs apc but need something easier to use. are there any products other thsn apc's? Advance thanks!

I use Megs APC at 10:1 with a white terry towel. Spray the towel and wipe. Very easy and you can see how your doing by looking at the towel.

Folex works better than apc in most cases and it is also rinsless and non ionic. I use my steamer on low with a cotton towel over the end, for certain headliners that can withstand a little heat. If the headliner is already loose or damaged, I tell the customer that I can't remove any stains. It's not worth the trouble.

I use whatever interior cleaner (fabric/carpet) that I have. I spray it on the towel THEN wipe it on the headliner. Dont make the headliner too wet or that chemical will break down the glue behind it and the material will eventually (prematurely) sag.
