heavy dry mud?

how do i get rid of this? i worked on a work truck and it had mud sitting on his truck for years and i couldnt get them off, it was mostly on the bottom side of the body what can i use? and overall truck came out great but i just couldnt get it out!!
 
Place a water sprinkler under it and let it run all night long, the continued introduction of water onto the dried mud will soften it.

Make sure it's at his house, in his yard and his water bill.


4x4 guys use this trick after 4-wheeling in the mud...


That are a pressure washer or a combination of both...

my friends use this trick after aff roading. works wonders. the neighbors think there nutty though...lol
 
Well, they say that you learn something new every day, and I just learned a new trick today... And since I have been reading this forum I have been learning a few things a day... Well, at least I think I have been learning, I guess I will find out once my new toys get here...

I used to do this in High school until my dad came home and caught me......I had to work off the $107.00 water bill..........didn't do it any more!:nomore:
 
sometimes cement splatter will look like mud .

I hope thats not the case

Drive it through clean fresh water no deeper than the rocker panels? :laughing:

I was lucky when I was into the mud bogging thing in that we had a local do-it-yourself car wash owner that didn't care if we used his facilities to remove all the mud off our trucks as long as we left the bay clean and not filled with globs of mud.

I can't see anyone car wash owners letting people do that today but maybe... so check around. Also some car washes offer undercarriage washing, so check around.


I had a 16" tall A-Frame Engine Puller and could lift a car up on end with it and then pressure wash the underneath enabling me to stand upright. This made it real easy to clean the underneath of a car. You can see two of the legs of the A-frame engine puller in this shot... actually used it to pressure wash the underneath of the 1959 Cadillac getting the 468 Big Block Chevy installed in the picture...

You could hire a fab shop to build you an A-Frame Engine puller, you just need some steel tubing and some H-beam and a 2-4 ton chain hoist. When you're not using add a swing for the kids...
