hell paso Tx. dust....

I live in El Paso TX, I have a Silver 08 Mustang. What's a good product to use for the light dust that accumulates over night? In addition, the weather here is crazy most of the time that it rains, it rains light and I only get some sprinkes on my car, I can see the dust /rain drops on the car. What would be a good product for that? or would it be the same as my first qurestion? Should I just wash the entire car when that happens? any feedback would be greatly appriciated.

Can't believe this has been on the 3rd page without any replies!

While I live a looooong ways away from SW Texas, for light dust accumulation overnight I'd try Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer with a good microfiber towel to remove the dust. After that I'd squirt on a quick coat of Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax for some protection.

After a light rain if the car has a good coat of wax on it you should just be able to dry it with a waffle weave microfiber drying towel to remove any water droplets off the car. If there are any water spots left you can then remove them with the Ultimate Quik Detailer that I mentioned earlier.

I'm sure some other members will recommend some fancier products, but based on my personal experiences these products work well.

As everyone knows, dust is fine particles of all kinds of stuff that can't wait to land on and become an abrasive...... if you let it. I'm surprised no one's mentioned hosing it off with water to float as much of the dust off prior to detail spray and wiping.
