Newb here from Farmington, New Mexico.My name is Bjorn, long time lurker first time posting. My wife bought me the PC7424 and assorted pads for my birthday. Tried it out on my old mustang hood thats been sitting in the dirt behind my shop. I taped off half the hood.
Please critique my process.
Wash with meguiars soap
Clay bar with megs clay bar kit
(2) Passes with Meguiars SwirlX using LC orange pad which removed all visible oxidation
I didnt have any polish so this was skipped.
(2) Coats of cleaner wax applied with blue LC pad.
(1) Coat of Megs NXT techwax applied with black LC pad.
There are lots of chips in the paint, but I wanted something to practice on. Please let me know what you think. As you can see, I'm quite the meguiars fan, but that was till I discovered this site. I will finish the products I have and replenish with better as I learn more from everyone here.
