Just joined this site because I have decided that it's time to get a little more serious about car detailing. I've always kept all my cars clean using off the shelf products from Advance Auto/Pep Boys etc.

And for the most part I've been happy with wax jobs done by hand and living with swirl marks and scratches. But I've become tired of seeing these imperfections on my baby and I've decided to take some steps to minimize these eyesores or at least make them not so noticable.

Here is my current project: 2000 Acura Integra GSR w/54K miles original paint

The lack of sun doesn't show this:

The previous owner took decent care of the car, better than most I'd say. But he/she was wild with keys and long nails! I've owned this car for 4.5 years and only clocked about 7K miles on my watch, it was bone stock when I bought it and overall in great shape.

But as before, I've grown tired of these marrs like in the picture above, and I gaurantee if I put shop lights on my paint like you guys use in buffing....I'd probably cry.

So with my approved amount of income tax money from the wife, I've decided to go ahead and order a PC 7424 starter kit and get some of my problems in order. I look forward to doing as much research as possible before asking any questions and posting my progress!Feed back please

I'm a noob too! I'm looking forward to receiving a shipment today so I can get serious about some polishing! btw, welcome!:righton:
