My name is Dennis and I live in RI and currently love to detail my 08 Harley dresser and my 04 Corvette convertible. I found Autogeek through a corvette forum and I have learned so much from all of your great videos and articles. Recently purchased 6 LC 5.5 in pads from orange to white to gray and a couple of reds. Also a new LC backing plate for my PC 7336 and attempted my first swirl removal project with a power tool. The car had a great shine but was full of minor swirls which I could never remove by hand and believe me I have tried everything. Thanks to Mike Phillips and his videos I got up the courage to try and buff it with an orange pad and meguiars 205 polish . I am so pleased with the results. 90% of the swirls are gone and the shine is incredible, btw I followed up the 205 with nxt 2.0 on a gray LC pad. Thank you all for the knowledge to accomplish this project, you certainly have a customer for life now.
 
:welcome: Dennis. Great to see that you had the courage to polish your beauties. That I find to be the hardest obstacle. People are afraid to "burn the paint", "mess up the paint".
Knowledge is a wonderful thing, glad it worked out.

Oh, and welcome to the dark side. It just gets worse. trust me
