Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. And I have to say, this has to be the nicest forum I've ever come across!

Anyway, reason for the post is this:

While driving about 35, golf ball coming from the blue monster landed smack on my hood! First dent on the car

Managed to buff out the paint transfer, no problem, but hoping you all can point me to a good how-to on removing dents. Any and all help appreciated!

Also, forgive the filthy state of the paint! Just embarrassing all around for my first post on Autogeek

Oh, since this is an introduction post, here's a couple pics of the ride, Celia:

Welcome to the forum that's a nice ride you have there. I would just have a PDR guy fix the dent for you. I have played around a bit with dent repair and it's not easy. It takes a lot of practice and training to get it down and some cash for quality tools.

Nice car, too bad about Happy Gilmore doing work on your hood. I would hire a good PDR guy for your dent. Trying to do it yourself will 99% of the time make it look no better if not worse. You would think a small dent in a large flat panel like a hood would be easy to remove, it's not.

I completely agree. Many moons ago I tried to play around with a dent...needless to say, take it to PDR, you will be much happier.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I knew I came to the right place for advice, pdr it is. I'll post before and afters once it's fixed.

Thanks again!

Thanks Jaretr, appreciate it. I'll be looking into them. Any before and afters from your 350?

And if I had the pockets for it, sure, why not sue Trump!

I dont have any unfortunately. I had a small self inflicted ding (the car didnt inflict it, I inflicted upon the car, by accident of course) and they got it out to 95%. A sharp corner of something hit the car so it put a very precise ding in the car. One has to look specifically for the remnants to see it now. I was satisfied.

Thanks again everyone. I really wish I had known about this forum years ago; would have saved me a ton of money, and it's a rare corner of the internet not filled with the typical douchebaggery one has to trudge through on communal sites. So thanks AGO!

Jaretr, didn't have a chance to connect with your referral, but I'll be speaking with them tomorrow; hopefully they make trips to Dade.

I dont know if they go to Miami Wade county, but their shop is in Davie. If you don't find someone reputable in Miami, it might be worth making the drive up there. Lots of PDR guys, hard to find good ones.

You're right about that, so they made the short list even though they don't go below the county line. Again, thanks for the referral; they were really professional on the phone
