I'm back into the forum after a hiatus. I am a a 54 year old full time college student majoring in History at Oregon State University. GO BEAVERS!! We recently purchased a new DD for my wife, a 2008 BLACK Kia Amanti. I now remember the love/hate relationship with a black automobile.
I was also blessed with a deal on a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTV6 at the same time (another story, but I ended up paying only $995 and getting $12,000 in trade for a 2004 Nissan Frontier) the color being metallic blue
. It has a bunch of miles on it (road rash from highway commuting...Mr. Color chip?) but it is my new baby!!
My main challenge for this forum is mastering a black finish. The Kia has the "old man" car wash longitudinal hazy scratches. My plan is to try PB Black Hole with my PC at low speed. I know it is a stop gap measure, but I am waiting for an order of new buffing pads/product to fit into the car care budget. I am glad to be back in the detailing saddle again!
