I just picked up a new daily driver, a 2008 Dodge Nitro SLT, Electric Blue, 6 speed with chrome wheels. I found this great forum looking for detailing tips and how to best protect the new SUV from the winter road conditions in Ohio. I was able to get a quick coat of spray wax (Duragloss AW) on my paint and wheels but would like to do more if I can. Unfortunately the new baby will live outside because my garage is full of other cars that have been put away for the winter. I am wondering about Optimum No-Rinse (ONR). I will avoid all car washes except maybe the coin operated ones to rinse off the road salt every week or so. Any tips will be much appreciated.
