Hi Randy,

Welcome to Autogeek Online! :welcome:

If you're new to detailing, learn to always first do a Test Spot on ever car you work on and dial in a process that makes one area look GREAT before buffing out the entire car.

Next, get my book and read it from cover to cover and you'll know more than most detailers and you'll certainly know what to do from the moment you step out into your garage to work on your car.

Here's some great information that will help you get started in the right direction...:props:

For backing plate and pads I recommend these.

What paint correction products do you have on hand?

These over the counter products by Meguiar's work really well and are available just about everywhere...

Thanks everyone for the great advice! I'm sure it'll come in handy and I'll be sure to pick up Mike's "Art of Detailing".
