Hey all!
My name is John. I'm a car semi-enthusiast and a big time motorcycle enthusiast. I've recently gotten a little bit more into cleaning my vehicles 'the right way', in addition to detailing, waxing and polishing; especially with my wife and I's motorcycles. Guess I finally had something 'cool' enough to detail, with the exception of my first car, a Mercury Cougar I had in high school!
I've come a bit of a ways from automatic car washes with brushes, using liquid dish soap, and trying with a towel from the bathroom. But I'm always learning to look more! It's amazing when you learn more about the detailing process; how BAD cars look!
I've always maintained my cars well (a firm believer in an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure). Waxing and washing frequently. But never to the level y'all do. So I'm looking forward to learning more!
I just ordered a new car, a 2014 Ford Focus SE. Far from a sweet hot rod or high dollar garage queen. But it IS going to be 'tuxedo black'. So it's gonna take a little more TLC! Hoping to learn a few techniques in the coming weeks before it's delivered, since this will actually be my first black car! I also understand that dealers are notorious for installing swirls in their detail shops!
