Help, ceramic coating ruined my Bronco Trim

What have you tried so far to remove it?
I tried APC diluted and non diluted with micro fiber, with Magic eraser. Tried to use polish on a microfiber applicator... Tried in small spots to see which works... the polish on microfiber worked to some extent, but it still has the minor white glaze..never went back to full black

You probably will need a trim restorer at this point...
There is always the "Ol" used car salesman trick....black shoe dye....it really works and lasts a looooong time...

Good info by DFB...
With that said, basically I think you need to degrade that coating in a multi step process.
Many attempts with a citrus based degreaser like "Citrol 266"
Get back to original surface and then use a trim based coating known to be safe and effective..
Start with a small section to see if you make any progress with this method...
Keep us posted as this is a unique situation...
i will come back, it might take few weeks due to his schedule. But i will get trim fixer like cerakote ready too just in case. I got the C4 permanent trim restorer

if its a regular plastic trim, i would have polished with light abrasive pad but for this bronco the trim seems to be lil porous and not a smooth finish like normal trim.
I'd try polishing a test area with a non-staining polish and then using some type of trim cleaner with a magic eraser. If that gets the staining out I'd then use a dedicated trim coating to restore OEM appearance.

Didn’t happen on my flares. High spots?
This is common with Adams coating when it is not wiped off properly. If you have facebook reach out to Dan Tyger as he is with Adams and has seen this many times.
No, if its high spots, it should have shown before the wash. This only showed up after the wash.

Unfortunately, some of us have been down this road before with coatings on textured trim. In the first thread below, another member chimes in that he's had the same problem with DLux that I had with C4. In the second thread, Rob from GTechniq explains what can happen with these products, and that it may not show up right away.

Isn't that area textured and can you polish it? Wouldn't polishing damage the texture or leave the polished areas looking different from the other wheel arches?

I will get the car back in 2 weeks, i have so many questions and so many things to try, i will post back...not going to polish it as it will rip up the pad as well due to the texture. I will have to do manually, with lot of elbow grease and patience.

You don’t have an old pad on it’s last legs you can use?
