For those that have been following my countless questions on the topic about polishing pads, know that I'm in the process of doing paint correction on my 19 GT 350.

Tonight I'll finish up the first step with Griots fast acting cream. Since I'm already this far, I'm wondering if I should try Gyeon Q2 Mohs evo ceramic coating? Otherwise I plan on using Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant wax.

The problem is, if I go the ceramic coating route, I'd have to strip down the hood because I currently have it completely finished.

If I want to go this route, do I just clay bar the hood? Then wipe it down with Carpro Eraser and lay the ceramic?

What would you guys do? Maybe I'm overthinking everything?

I would redo the polishing step to remove the sealant if you go the coating route. No need for claying.

I wonder, could I remove it with a LC white pad with Griots correcting cream?

Yeah that should be fine. On daily’s you can guess what my opinion on LSP’s would be.

But if this getting driven 2-3 months out of the year in good weather I would go with what you think looks best.

I chose A coating for my garage queen because I like the Candy Gloss.

I chose Pure Evo over Mohs because most reviews say Mohs protects better and Pure looks better.

Some prefer the wet look or effects of a nice sealant.

If you haven’t bought your coating yet I would do CQUK 3.0 or Gyeon Pure Evo. A nice candy gloss on that color would look insane.

I haven't bought anything yet. This car maybe gets driven only 200-500 miles a year, and only in good weather. But I'm hopefully able to drive it more.

Are both of those coatings that you recommend easy to apply?

I'll decide over the weekend if I plan on going that route and polishing the sealant off of the hood.

I'm about halfway done with the 2 step process of polishing.

I appreciate all the help!

I haven’t used pure butter heard good things. I did CQUK 3.0 as my first coating. Was pretty easy. Ended up with a few high spots.

Secret for me to avoid was after doing a panel rewipe entire panel and a 1ft perimeter past section I did to clear everything. Coating wasn’t hard at all.

Intimidating at first but after you’ll be like WTF…. Why I wait so long…

The Gyeon Evo is intriguing me. Looks fairly simple to apply and should last for awhile.

Edit: I wonder if it's safe to apply to vinyl stripes?

Not 100% sure but I know it can be used on PPF should be good to go on vinyl. As long as your stripes are glossy. Some coatings will make matte vinyl look richer/satin.

I’d wait till The Guz to chime in.

My first coating was Gyeon Pure EVO and found it very easy to work with. I think you will enjoying using it and the candy-gloss finish.

Considering your usage patterns for the car, you probably don't need a ceramic coating. But if you want to try something new, then Pure EVO is a very forgiving coating to play with.

With this many miles driven and the fact that it sits in the garage most of the time, I would go with a coating lite. It will last a long time in these types of conditions.

I moved away from 3 year, 5 year, 10 year coatings on my garaged car. A 1 year or 2 year will last twice it’s lifespan if not longer.

If I had a 200-500 mile a year car I’d bury it it the most luscious paste wax I could find. Coatings & sealants are nice and all but for me, Carnauba paste just has a ‘soul’ that’s hard to replicate!

Yep,that's why I continue to use them and don't see myself stopping any time soon

I ended up using the Wolfgang high gloss paint sealant that I already had. I will be playing around with some different products that have been mentioned here in the future on some other cars.
