Hey guys,

I'm considering trying something different. I'm starting to run low on my Wolfgang total swirl remover 3.0 and final glaze 3.0. I still have plenty of the final step Wolfgang sealant.

I had pretty good results using this combination on my 90 coupe mustang. But still had some scratches that it didn't remove. Maybe I could have worked it more?

I use a Porter Cable DA and lake country orange pads followed by their white pads.

Ultimately, I'm wondering if there is anything user friendly that's better than what I'm using.

I plan on going over some scratches yet on my 90 mustang, my 03 cobra could use a paint correction. And our 67 mustang had a detail done from our previous owners detailer. They used products from Angel Wax. They sent along a sample kit with the car. Not really impressed, seems to have a lot of fine scratches still.

Sorry for the long post. I plan on detailing these over the winter months.View attachment 74261View attachment 74262

If you are looking for "User-Friendly", then it doesn't get much better than the Griot's Creams.

Great working time, no dusting, easy wipe off, and most importantly, they WORK. :)

What products exactly? Like the Griot's Boss lineup?

Yes. The Griot's BOSS Creams.
Will that work with my current equipment? I've been looking at the Pinnacle stuff as well.

Absolutely.

I use the GG Creams with Lake Country pads all the time. Great combo.

Fast Correcting Cream would be your compound. But........ It finishes down almost like a regular polish on most paints. Incredible product.

Correcting Cream would be your polish.

Perfecting Cream would be your finishing polish. (But I have never used it. The FCC & CC finish down so well I have not found the need for it.)

Awesome that's what I wanted to know! I'll probably give it a try.

Edit:. What are you using as a final step for wax/sealant?

Thanks.

x2, I’ve got the perfecting cream but the correcting cream with a soft polishing pad is incredible. The FCC is a gem of a product to work with, first few times I kept waiting for the dust and tacky ness of other max cut products. Stuff is incredible to work with and it doesn’t break down.

Awesome collection of Mustangs. Love that 1990 coupe 5.0

The Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze are excellent products for removing any light to medium imperfections in the paint surface. If you still have visible defects you can try stepping up to a compound with yellow cutting pads. Nothing wrong with using a Porter Cable polisher, but I find paint correction much easier with a forced rotation polisher like the Flex XC3401 VRG or Rupes Mille.

As PaulMys stated the Griot's Garage BOSS line of products are great and very user Friendly.

I personally like to use the Blackfire Compound, Polish & One Step products depending on the condition of the paint.

Thanks! I wish I drove that 90 more. I replaced the water pump and timing cover gasket because of a leak. Now it seems back again....

I've used blackfire products, but not the polishing compound.

I'll be ordering up some Boss Griots stuff.

Hey guys,

I'm ordering up the Griot's Boss fast correcting compound and the correcting compound.

Can I follow it up with my Wolfgang wax sealant?

Yes, you can.

The BOSS creams do not contain any protection. (They are not AIO's) So you can apply any wax or sealant directly over them with no problems at all. :)

(Even if they were AIO's, you'd still have no problems, but a lot of people would disagree with me............. ;))
