Hi everybody I'm kind of new at this.
Was claying my jag today and I spilled my clay lubricant, don't ask me how thats the dumb and dumber part. Is there a over the counter that I can use or do I have to wait for my new order to arrive (about seven days).

think your forums are great, can't stop reading them ( up most of the night )
thanks guys and gals
jean:cheers:

i use car soap and water, wash the car first like normal, but dont dry, then spray more water onto the car and soap it up so you get some nice suds and lubricity. then clay!just make sure there is always soapy water on the car, dont let it dry. and make sure that you dont let flowers or leaves or dust get on the car while you are claying. after you clay just rinse and dry.(only use car soap and water, do not use other types of soap)

car soap and water that sounds great
thanks joy this will help a lot

While you are waiting for your order to arrive (takes 7 days to get here also) you can pick up some "Mothers Showtime". Mother's puts it in there clay kit as a lube but they sell it separately as a QD.

I think soap is cheaper, and does a better job. but thats just me.

I have never reached for car soap and water as I think I remember reading posts where people said that resulted in marring for them. However, any decent over the counter quick detailer should do. After all that is what Meguiar's and Mother's include in their clay kits.

Sounds like extra work using soap. You need to rinse and dry after claying.

I agree with ZoranC, use an OTC quick detailer and you'll be fine. Spray, clay, wipe. Do one panel at a time.

Buy some over the counter QD, meguiar's or mother's is fine. You should pick up some DP 4 in 1 or Optimum No Rinse. They can be used as clay lube, and you can make bottles of it with either of them. For now I'm using DP 4 in 1.
