Help for First Responders

That was certainly well done.

I've worked behind the scenes on a handful of television commercials, movies and tv series. Those experiences ruined it for me as far as being able to watch any of it (everything is fake).
For whatever reason this commercial caught my eye. Whoever produced it deserves a Emmy

so what were your behind the scene jobs?

Picture car coordinator/gaffer,grip assistant/location scout assistant/driver. I've even done editing (in a unofficial role).

My half sister is a (somewhat) well known executive producer in Hollywood. We are both very strong willed individuals. Unfortunately this causes us to fight like cats and dogs (we love each other....from a distance)
If you think I'm opinionated let her join the forum. She would leave 99.9% of you in tears

Cool to know.....I started out as an apprentice in production out of Detroit doing all of the same type stuff..PA...grip...driver

Unless your Tony Goldwyn (one of the nice guys) starting at the bottom is as it should be.
Lots of 14 hour days sitting around waiting is what kept me from pursuing that career.

What did you think about the commercial?

As the son of a firefighter and now a brother of one i fully appreciate and support the efforts of that organization.

I certainly won't be critical of the production of the video ...it remains a powerful message. I remember my father being deeply impacted by anything involving fatalities, especially those involving children. Car crashes, bad house fires etc. however he never expressed it outwardly. Old school was to keep "shell shock" inside.

Well done and thank you for sharing that with us.

I rolled up on a terrible accident about a month ago @ 5:55am. It appeared someone ran a Red light and they must have been going 100mph (happens alot here).
There were a half a dozen firefighters standing around a patient/victim laying in the middle of the road. One of them was pumping the victims chest like a maniac. The others looked very concerned. Couldn't help but think these individuals were probably asleep 20 minutes earlier. That is a helluva way to get woke up. Can't imagine that not having a effect on someone.

I will forever be grateful and appreciative to the firefighters who helped pull me from the wreckage of my car. I’m also thankful to the cops who caught the drunk driver who fled the scene on foot.
