Hi all,

Back in November i picked up a black Acura MDX (2019). The paint was swirled like crazy. Ive slowly been working on bringing it back to life.
I started with Rupes DA coarse and blue microfiber pad. My second step was Sonax perfect finish on a Yellow wool pad. The car looks much better. Aside from some spots my HLR 15 couldnt polish that i need to hit again with my 3 inch, i would probably call it a day. unfortunately (or fortunately), because of the time between the main paint correction and when I can get into a heated garage to apply my ceramic, I plan to do a final polish to re-cleanse the paint and bump the gloss.

For this third step, Gloss, and prep for the Ceramic coating are my main goals. I am not sure about the polish. I would appreciate feedback and advice. Right now I am planning to use Gyeon Can coat, though I may go with something more durable in a glass bottle. The paint will be swirl free from steps 1/2 but may have light maring from the synthetic claybar.

Any polish option will be paired with Rupes white pad.

1. Rupes Uno Pure
2. Car Pro essence
3. Koch chemie micro cut
4. Menzerna (suggestions welcome)
5. suggestions?

I will just point out, if it means anything to you, that Essence has a shelf life of one year, at least that's what it had at the time I got my bottle. Of course I've used my bottle of DLUX well past the expiration date and it was fine.

Whatever I get will likely be used for this and only pulled out for things like mild water spotting. So the shelf life isnt a huge concern. I do appreciate the info.

For finicky clear coats, this works better than any other finishing polish that I've used

I'dd like to hear folks in here opinions on Xtreme Solutions Finish'er. I have a bottle and think it's fantastic, but I cannot compare it to the amount of products everyone has used. For final polishing I have only tried Finish'er, Perfect Finish, and Rupes Uno Pure.

Carpro Reflect is one of the easiest polishing products you will ever use!

For me, it's a winner because it produces absolutely no dust and has such a velvety smooth wipe off. Product consumption is low too, only two small pea size dots per panel. A staple of my cabinet.

Essence is even easier to wipe off, just depends on if you want to lay down Si02 or not.
