Hi all,

I am looking for some help picking a ceramic spray wax. Although I have quite a few different spray waxes, I keep going back to Technician's Choice GMAX 584. I love the slickness of it, and the durability of it seems pretty good as well. However, I am thinking that there is probably something better on the market these days.

I really want slickness when applying it. Durability is also an important factor, but given the two, I'd pick slickness over durability. Is there any ceramic spray wax that is super easy to apply, offers slickness and durability?

I did recently purchase some Griots 3 in 1 ceramic wax and I hate it! Unless I'm totally doing it wrong, there is absolutely no slickness when applying it. I keep feeling like I'm dry rubbing my paint. I know it has good reviews, but I am not a fan!

Thanks so much in advance!

TWHS graphene + ceramic, plus it's 10 other ingredients, you'll like it

I was disappointed by Griots 3-1 as well. However, I really like Turtle Wax Hybrids Solutions Ceramic Spray Wax.

I was expecting very little from an OTC spray wax after my Griots experience, but the TW pouches way above its weight. Good durability, easy to apply, looks good, beads like a classic sealant or wax.

TWHS.

Spray coating.
Graphene flex wax.
Wet wax.

The flex wax would be a good choice. Several different ways to apply it.

In a related recent post, Mike G. recommended these two ceramic spray sealants:

Armour Detail Supply Ceramic Sealant
Vonixx Sinergy

I haven’t tried them yet, but I plan to buy them based on Mike’s recommendation.

I love the Technicians Choice Gmax and 582. Between the two, I prefer 582. I like the scent better and there is not that much of a difference in performance to justify the higher cost of the Gmax.

I would also recommend Xtreme Solutions Topper. Even though it is marketed as a Topper, Brian from Apex Detail did a review and showed it actually provides some decent stand alone protection. It adds a lot of gloss and feels super slick under the towel. I buy it by the gallon and it is a good value.

I love using Tech582, it's a VERY solid product

And at $41/gallon on the river site?

Thanks Klasse, gonna give it a shot.

I'm always trying new things and this is one of those products that people without my "problem" could be a repeat customer for, no doubt about it

Polish Angel Cosmic Spritz.

A lot of Ceramic sealant/waxes aren’t slick as that’s not normally a pro of ceramic products.

I’ll through Tacs Systems Shinee wax into the mix…

I just pulled out my Shinee Wax (1L) and it has some crystals on the bottom. I've given it a lot of good shakes and they aren't disappearing. I'm a little worried about it going bad before I can use it all so before you buy Tac out of Canada, let me know if you want a little sample.

I don't want to take profits from mfgs but I also don't want this stuff to go to waste.

Anyone need a little top-off? I did just try it out today and all seems fine but I've always heard Tac has a shelf-life.

April or May of last year. First one smelled like natural gas and they replaced it so I know what bad smells like and we're not there yet!

Had the same issue with TAC system Moonlight, about 1/4 turned hard at the bottom. That said, AMA ING product

Clogged up the sprayer I had in it too. Thankfully I have no shortage of sprayers.

It is a great product but I do wish it had more shelf-life. I know many have expirations but most of those dates feel arbitrary for those of us not needing to squeeze every last ounce of durability out of them.

I reached out to the CA distributors and got the below on Shinee Wax. Kind of surprised because for the life of me I can't get the buildup to mix back into the liquid:

"Shelf life is normally pretty long at ~3 years. Shinee is not a ceramic coating and should not crystallize, the dried resins can just be rinsed off and shaken well, it should dissolve right back into the solution."

Sorry, not intending to hijack the thread here...
