I just bought a 2012 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 with "rare" Lava Red paint. The car looks "black" to 99.9% of people unless you are out on a very sunny day, then you will see that is is actually dark purplish metallic.
They detailer put a lot of swirl marks from when they first detailed it for me. Since then I have added some more due to the "100% cotton" towel I bought from Target which was made in a foreign country. I wash and dried the towel the correct before using it and it still is adding more swirl marks to my car. The cr is gagrge kept and only driven to car shows and extremely nice days. So please help me figure out what set-up you would recommend for my baby.
I have a Porter Cable 7424 DA and 6.5" velcro backing plate but no pads. I want to know if I shoud spend the money on pads or microfiber towels to do the job right? (which ones to buy) Then I need the recipe for the "mirror" like shine.
I currently am using Zaino:
Z-18 ClayBar
ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive
Z-7 Show Car Wash
Z-5 PRO Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches
Z-2 PRO Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes
I'm not happy with these products. I followed the instructions word for word.
Now I want some professional advice, so PLEASE send me in the right direction as to which products I should go with to get the "mirror" showcar shine!!!
CLAY BAR = ???
WASH = ???
CLEANER = ???
POLISH = ???
WAX = ???
PADS = ???
-or-
MICROFIBER TOWELS = ???
Any advice will be deeply appreciated.
THANK YOU!!!!:dblthumb2:
