I realize that insect removal, has been discussed in many many threads, however, I have been unable to find the answer to my specific question. There is just too much information out there, for someone who is significantly visually impaired like myself, to go through all of it.

Are there any products out there, that will cause insects to not get splattered and stuck to a vehicles surface in the first place? My family just purchased a black 2013 RAM 1500, and the truck is an insect magnet. Two days of ownership, and 4+ hours removing splattered insects from its front end.

There are many semi permanent coatings that will help but there is no way to stop it. The bug guts are extremely acidic and regardless of what is on the surface, including plastic, they will etch/stain it. Same with bird caca. No miracle cure available other than perseverance in removing same from the surface in a timely manner.

I've been using 1z einziett (spelling is off) bug remover and a 2 inch square of an Orange CCS pad to take them off my 2012 black Dodge ram and my car. Works good. I use both sides as well.
