I just got a new Lexus - Deep Sea Mica - Dark metallic blue.
Not sure if it was the dealer's "detailing" or this is how new cars look.
Here is what it looks like. Those are spider webs right?

What do you recommend I do for this car?
The end result will be WG DGPS and Pinnacle Souveran paste.

Here's what I have on hand:
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion
Griots Machine Polish 3 (about 6 years old)
Zaino Z2 & Z5 (also about 6 years old)

Planning on applying with GG6 and GG3

I am ordering the Speedy Prep Towel today along with a couple other things taking advantage of the sale. After reading the great review of polish comparisons I can see I may need something like BF SRC or WG TSR then a polish like BF GEP or WG FG3.0

What do you think would be best?

If I need to buy anything are the sample sizes enough for 1 car?

Thanks for the help!
Rob

Will you be using a DA of of some kind? Pads?
New cars shouldn't look like that, those are DISO!

Yes I have a GG 6" and a GG 3" with Lake Country White and Blue pads (came with the GG6"). Also have a "wax" and "polish" pads from Griots.

I'm open to buying pads too if needed.

What do you guys recommend for products? What do I need to correct?

Great. So you think I can skip a swirl remover and use just a glaze?
Think I should follow that up with the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion?

I just found the great chart on AG:
http://www.auto-geek.net/charts/wax-chart.pdf
(It would be nice if it was updated with BF products)

So my plan of attack is:
1) Speed Prep
2) WG Finishing Glaze 3.0
3) If that does it, then Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion.
If not then
WG Total Swirl Remover, FG 3.0, and PCL.

Then top that off with WG DGPS and Souveran.

Is that a good plan? Overkill?

The easiest way to say this would be to say you need to use whatever it takes to eliminate the swirls. Since some paints (especially Lexus) are super soft (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/59848-lexus-rx350-my-kryponite.html) basically you need to start with a light polish (the Menzerna 2500 is good) on a polishing pad (usually white) and try a test spot. If that works, bingo, move on to the rest of the car. If not, switch to an orange cutting pad with the polish. and keep trying more aggressive combos until it works. Be CAREFUL! I've read lexus paint is SOFT!

PS: Thanks for the compliment about the compound review!

Add a step 0 before speedy towel, wash car with 2 bucket method. Dry with quality towels. After you remove the swirls, washing and drying the right way will keep most of them at bay.

I read that as well and was trying to learn from your adventure.

I was going to put that in there but it seemed a little too obvious. I've learned how to wash a car the right way over the past few weeks on here. Wallet shows it too!
