Our shop is in its seasonal doldrums and my boss said he'd pay me to clean up our loaner cars.
He just wants them washed and waxed I guess.
I I just ordered some LC hybrid pads in orange, blue and white.
The paint on these cars is atrocious, but using Optimum GPS (I also have meg's D151, but I don't like it) and a rotary w/dynabraid head, would the blue light cutting pad probably be the best bet to try to improve them with one step?

+1 for a test spot. Not all paints are the same. Always good to experiment before you commit to a pad/product combo :)

If all the cars look like this one, wash/wax doesn't seem like a good use of time. An AIO would produce better results with the same effort. My experience with AIO's is XMT360 and best results came with an orange CCS pad.

Do you have a DA to use vs. the rotary?

If he is paying you a flat rate, it would seem to me to be a little more clear with your boss what he wants/expects. Unless you don't care because you are sitting around doing nothing and not getting paid anyway?

Your second sentence is basically what is going on, haha.

Tools:
I have a PC, a rotary, and a dynabraid adapter for the rotary.

AIO's
I have Optimum GPS, Klasse AIO, and Meg's D151

Pads:
LC Hybrid orange, blue, and white.

Ok, first of all, that picture--is that frost/condensation on the paint? Because if it's not then you've got some serious oxidation which is likely going to require compounding, not a little AIO. If it is frost/condensation, then the picture is pretty useless as we can't see the paint.

I've never used any of the hybrid pads, why don't you go with the GPS you want to use on your PC or with the Dynabrade, using an orange pad, do a test spot and see how it looks? If the finish is acceptable, go to town. If not, step down to the blue or white pad to find the combination of cut/finish you need.

Use a rotary man, DA will take you ages compared to the rotary if that picture is oxidation

I can't get the other pics to upload :(
That's oxidation, but otherwise freshly washed.
