I got a new car and I didn't want the dealership to touch my car with any brushes or towels, but have them remove that white protective sticky sheet.

but now there's some left over stickiness.

I tried clay and got some of it off
tried APC and didn't really do much
tried griots adhesive remover but that didn't really work unless I'm doing it wrong. I put the adhesive remover on the spots and let it set for about a minute and gently wipe with a MF towel.

any other solutions? be more aggressive with wiping the adhesive remover?

Try one of these products to remove the
"Rap Gard's" sticky adhesive residue.

•Wurth Clean Solve
•3M GP Adhesive Cleaner
•Valugard's New Car Prep

Packaging guy here, that sticky white stuff isn't supposed to be sticky. It's what's called cohesive material and isn't supposed to leave a residue. It's supposed to have a clean release.
Maybe goo gone? It won't hurt the paint.

TarX

I hear Rapid Remover works good, I have never tried it.

It's hands down "THE BEST ADHESIVE REMOVER" ....... ever.

I swear by this stuff. Bummer it's more accessible online than anywhere else.

I don't see why there would be any need for Goo-Gone...
if the transit wrap (ie: "Rap Gard"), would have no adhesives.

However:
Even perimetric auto transit-films
will have perimetric-adhesives.

IMO:
The very best of all auto transit-protection would
almost surely have to be: "the bespoke-body-bags".

hey!

the whole thing is not really sticky I guess, more of a line where you can tell the sheets were. when I spray water all over the car I notice that the areas covered in the sheets, the water beads off?

and thanks for all the suggestions! I have einszett bug and tar remover. would that work?

Interesting to say the least. I still have lines on my GC where I swear some yahoo cut the film and hurt the cc.
