Yes i have a Black VW Gli and i am trying to find if i should go with
Pinnacle or Wolfgang wax. I'm new to these and would like to try something that would get rid of scratches that i have received from the car wash. And I'm on they way to do it myself.

Hope y'all can help

Only thing going to fix the problem is a swirl remover and a polisher, not a wax.

As Meghan said, if you truly want the best finish on your Vdubb, you should buy one of the kits on here that include a polisher, some pads, and some polish THEN you can put whatever wax you want.

No, the wal-mart/sears buffer won't 'cut' it.

Megan,

I was looking at the site and i don't know what i should get first. Pinnacle or the wolfgang.

I have been reading some on the pinnacle and still behind times. LOL

Hope you or someone can help me

Get a DA polisher first, then some polish. Menzerna IP and some 106FA should be fine. If you want pinnacle or wolfgang go with the Pin ASR(advanced swirls remover) or wolfgang TSR(total swirl remover). Wax will not hide your swirls. As for wax, how much money do you want to spend?? That is the question.

Sounds like you need to do some polishing before you decide on the wax. There are alot of great polish suggestions, all you have to do is search

I want wax that will make my car shine all the time. Blind ppl

Wolfgang fuzion, if you can afford it. Souveran paste is great on black. Signature series II, and P21S 100% carnuba are also good. For durability souveran liquid is great. Last longer than paste, and has great shine to it,for $37

Do you really think that a liquid will last longer than a paste? Let's compare the new liquid Souveran with polycharger compared to Fuzion with polymers. I don't mean to be aguementive, but have you tested a paste compared to a liquid and please leave out sealants.

Waxes like Pinnacle are the best in the business but pure waxes so no cleaners or polishes included. (its like getting the best tv and yet using bunny rabbit ears for reception). You must prep the finish properly.

Wolfgang is a great sealant (synthetic wax) that looks alot like a wax (wet, depth) but will last a bit longer. Another pure product however.

If you dont choose to polish and cleanse paint first, then look into an AIO product like Xmt360 or Polyseal.

I was not comparing the liquid souveran to fuzion. Since I have never used fuzion. I love my souveran paste. It is what I use on my cars. But, I do think the liquid souveran lasted a little longer than the paste, SSII and P21s 100%. Does it shine better? NO. Is it as easy to apply, or take off? NO. Could other factors influence what I've seen(heat, rain, humidity)? yes. That is just what I noticed over the years. AS for scientifaclly testing things, no I haven't. Just observation. Maybe I'll do a half car test to see if I'm wrong.

liquid souveran will indeed last longer than the Pinnacle pastes. Its due to the design. It is not the same formula nor looks however.

I know it is not the same formula. I agree, looks are different. I was just telling the OP that the liquid souveran will last longer. Nothing else. It was just a durability statement.

I agree and was confirming your comment. :iagree:

See Killrwheels that why i am so stuck. I have always used Meguires and i am getting tired of it.

I want something no one else uses up here. And i want to look great the shine and the wet look.

Like i have said i have used the the bottle wax from meguires and paint cleaner and i have used the bar 2-3 times only. But does not look great to me. Still see the scratches and imperfections in the paint.

So i hope you can shed some light on the wax, sealant. I want to do all the steps to get my baby looking so freaken hot.

Pinnacle Waxes and Wolfgang Sealant are best for clients that are willing to do each step properly prior to using them. Otherwise they will not look their best as they specialize in protection/looks only.
The steps are washing -- claying -- polishing -- protecting. Polishing usually gives the best change in look in these steps so should not be skipped.

OTC products = AIO's they do not specialize in each step

So if you where me. Tell me what product you would get ? Wolfgang or Pinnacle. When i find a product i buy all that is with that name.

See this is my problem i don't know much about Wolfgang or Pinnacle. I'm a newbie to these items so i am trying to listen to everyone and seeing if they can send me to the bright light.

Like i have said i want something that is going to look DAM good. Nothing half ass

Gotta pitch my 2 cents in, I think paste is better than liquid ( liquid has additional ingredients added to be turned into liquid form ) paste requires alittle more work, but I prefer paste ( but I suppose too it depends on product too) allot of factors in determining, but.... my favorite Liquid Wax in the Pinnacle Soveran, I have tried allot of waxes in my time.the Pinnacle Soveran wins hands down(havent tried Fuzion, just cant justify the cost, maybe it will appear on BOGO, then I will entertain the thought of purchasing it)
