So i just placed a LARGE order... I ordered the Forum Fav as far as chemical goes.. because i read that Klasse AIO is excellent on red vehicles.. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle has some light to moderate swirls, and a few rids.. really decent shape for it's age. My question is.. do i need a swirl remover? I think i screwed up, I thought the klasse would remove that. please give me your thoughts! And thanks most of all for sharing your knowledge. I will be applying this with a PC XP.Feed back please

Hello, Steed

The vehicle has some light to moderate swirls, and a few rids.. really decent shape for it's age. My question is.. do i need a swirl remover?

Yes. For the light to moderate swirls, the 205 can take care of that. But as far as RIDS go,it depends, but most will come out with 105 on an orange pad.

I think i screwed up, I thought the klasse would remove that. please give me your thoughts!

KAIO contains no abrasives. It is more of a wax cleaner with acrylic protection and some filling ability. This would be the best product to prep your paint for KHGSG.

i actually found the megs#205 quart size here locally!! for 30 bucks a bottle.. I'll get some and use it with the orange pad,, shound take care of it then. thanks for the handy advice!:dblthumb2:

Be sure to watch these, especially the section pass video as buffing out an entire car is merely the simple act of buffing out the car section by section.

Show Car Garage Video: How To Remove Swirls, Scratches and Water Spots using a PC 7424XP, Meguiar's G110v2 or Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital Polisher

Also, I moved your thread out of the "Introduction Forum" group and to the "Detailing 101" group.

Thanks mike, the videos are great! I have to say I need to see a doctor, sleep deprivation has gotten the best of me. I've been staying up too late watching these videos and reading these forums!:props: I really appreciate the responses. I feel a little intimidated with the klasse products, but with some patience i think they will perform well! I'm as giddy as a 12 yr old school girl to get my products and get started!

I use KAOI after the various polishes and right before the sealant. For, "impossible swirls" I use Meguiar's 105, followed up by Meguiar's 205. I like Menzerna's final polish- then KAOI. I think it give the car a nice shine; some guys are less enthusiastic about KAOI. It's cheap enough to try out and see what you think.

I think I'll use Megs 205, the paint is actually in pretty decent shape! Then since this is the first time being polished since i've owned it.. I'll do an IPA after the polish so i can really see whats underneath. it is my daily driver, so perfection is not needed. But I'd like it to look as good as i can! maintenance is easy!
