Hey everyone, I'm Shane. I'm 19 and basically new to the whole detailing world. I have a 1997 Black Toyota Camry and on a college student budget I can't do much more than that. I'll admit to some stuff I've done too

1. As far as I'm aware the car has never been fully detailed
2. The car has to sit outside 24/7 cause there is no garage at my house
3. I am, occasionally, one of those guys you see at the car wash bay with the pressure washer thing a few inches from the paint :bash:
4. I am, for now, a one bucket guy :bolt:, but I do empty the bucket a few times when it looks to be getting really dirty
5. Well one through four were pretty much bad stuff :) but on a semi-good note I have clayed the car, with Meguires Clay (I think) BUT only once, which I think I did wrong because not much of anything came off of it
6. I don't have any pics of my car yet but you will be horrified :dig: at how bad it actually is
7. I do plan on getting the car fully detailed in the spring, but I'm not sure who I should get it done by. I found a few places around here that seem decent but the prices vary drastically.
8. Oh and one last thing is that I don't think the engine's ever been detailed either, so yea.

That's about everything. I don't think I'll be catching the detailing bug, mainly just stare at your cars and get mine done professionally.

Thanks for the welcome Mike. I've been reading the past few days and everyone definitely seems to be nice and helpful.

Hey Shane! This is Shane wishing you a warm :welcome: to Auto Geek Online! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

There's a couple of guys in the Columbus area that do awesome work, you might talk to them to detail you. They post on here, and on Autopia. So just ask around for a detailer based around here, and they'll pop up.

Hey Shane,
Welcome to AGO. Not all that long ago, I was a nweb myself. I just bought a bmw 330xi and wanted to take care of it properly. I came to this forum, and learned so much in such a short time. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and read a lot here. Before you know it you will be doing great work on your car, and maybe you can do some other cars for some extra money.
Good luck to you.

:welcome: to AG's there's alot of info. hear take ur time and enjoy.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I will probably have some questions coming up soon.
