Hey guys. I don't know if it's from the factory or not but my hhr has a clear bra right in front of the rear wheels and it's full of contamination. Does anyone of any experience removing it? Thanks in advance.

HHR is Chev vehicle correct?

Clear Bra would be on front of car not behind wheels?

Likely plastic protection for high abrasion area.

I would heat it with heat gun and peel off.

You can probably live without it, but if not, a local plastic film company can fix you up.

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about and yes it is a chevy.

Many manufacturers apply Paint Protection Film (PPF), sometimes referred to as "clear bra" to the area in front of the rear wheels to protect that area from small rocks thrown up by the front tires. To remove it, rather than using a heat gun that can quickly damage the paint if not careful, I use a hair dryer. If you decide to use a heat gun, keep it on the lowest setting and then carefully peel away the film as you gently heat the film. Once removed, there will probably be adhesive residue remaining on the paint. 3M Adhesive Remover will soften this for removal. The whole process can be a slow, involved process but perseverance will prevail.
