Hi everyone,
My names Andrew from Western Australia, pretty much right down the bottom. I had been a property manager since leaving schooling & after 4 years got fed up with the BS & quit. Now own a pre-exsisting car detailing workshop.
Big Subaru fan, currently own a Forester GT (2002) with a heap of engine mods, has a twinscroll turbo setup from Japan Legacy's so its a beast of a daily drive. Has around 230hp & 340nm torque at the hubs.
Slowly been getting into the grove of doing detailing on a daily basis, prior to that it was always just mine, fiance's, family & friends cars when I had time, all by hand & hardly got too abrasive.
Last owner of the business basically run it as a semi-intensive car wash, used some risky chemicals (aluminium brightener on wheels) & used to paint wheel wells & wheels/tyres if they where black steelies. No way was I going to continue with that so I've been changing things around as money allows.
We do the basic cleans up to full details, I'm getting some pads & a machine soon because my hands cramp up pretty bad & it takes forever to do a car.
I'll throw up some pics of our workshop & then how we re-arranged things after a few weeks for better access in/around cars. The last owner used to use the walls to paint things too....very unprofessional. I am hoping to eventually clean & coat the floors, put in some decent lighting or drop those lights down & line the walls at least 2/3rds of the way up so it is much cleaner & professional looking, as opposed to an old dirty shed. Still lots of stuff to move around & throw out from the pics but it gives you a basic idea.
Enjoy!
