I'm a hobbyist and I'm new to the 7424. I have one, but I still need to get a backing plate and pad kit. I'm reading everything I can on here. 
I have the 5" backing plate and the $59.99 CCS 5.5" pad kit sitting in my shopping cart at the moment. From what I've read, that seems like a decent start. Any thoughts?
I still haven't decided on polishes, waxes, etc. I have a '93 Sentra SE-R, '99 GMC Sierra, and '01 Honda Odyssey.
