Welcome to Autogeek Online! :welcome:

Not sure how far you are from Irvine but Meguiar's offers classes on Saturdays, they're a lot of fun and educational, worth the drive.

We'll be starting our after Labor Day weekend but a little too far for you.

:)

That system will work great as will any quality product line.

The below is a "Sticky" in this forum...

Post your intro thread here but post topical question in the related forum group

Just to note, it's usually best to "Introduce Yourself" in an Introduction forum group to let everyone know you've officially crossed over from Lurker to Active Member. Maybe tell us little bit about yourself, where you live, what you drive or what projects you're working on etc.

Then if you have product or process questions, look through the different forum group categories and try to pick one that the topic matches your questions and then start a dedicated thread for your specific questions

Clicking the below link will take you to the list of different categories or groups of forums identified by their title.

Autogeek Online Forum Topical Groups

Or you can simply post your questions is the Detailing 101 forum which is a Catch-All for any kind of question.

Auto Detailing 101

If everyone posts their questions to the "Introduce Yourself" forum group then we could get rid of all the other groups and just have one group called,

Introductions and Everything Else.

Make sense?

But to your question, if you look on Meguiar's Online at The 5 Step Paint Care Cycle thread...

I wrote it...

Sorry bout that. Thanks for the quick response.

No need to be sorry, we have a lot of people that join our forum that don't have a lot of experience posting to forums and because this is a larger forum and getting bigger all the time we have to try to maintain some type of order, so introductions go here and questions go in a forum dedicated for the topic your questions are about.

In fact I just wrote all three of these just to help people get the most out of our forum,

Limit your message to just 3-4 questions

How to write a good Title for your post

As well as this one,

Post your intro thread here but post topical question in the related forum group

It's a common mistake for someone to join a forum, start a thread to introduce themselves in the "Introduce Yourself" forum and then after saying, "Hi I'm Jim", then they start adding questions about how to buff out their Ford Taurus.

It's a harmless mistake, but it defeats the purpose of all the other topical forum groups. Again, it's not earth shaking mistake but I've found over the years it better to correctly guide a new member as to proper protocol and netiquette for posting questions on this forum and this will help them on all the forums they post to the rest of their lives.

It's all good, we just try to maintain some kind of order...
