Got a 2017 Chevy Colorado December and I just love it. I finally decided that if I want it to look right I'd need to learn about detailing. So, after a lot of reading and video watching here it is. This is from mid July after wash, Iron X, clay, 3m Ultrafine, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant, and Britemax Vantage Wax. Lots of fun! Looking forward to improving my technique and process this Fall.

Welcome Suttonri! Looks good. Are you machine buffing or by hand?

The 3m Ultrafine was applied with a Porter Cable 7424xp and Lake Country white pad. The sealant and wax were machined with red and black pads.

Thanks Mike,

That means a lot to me coming from you. I read "The Complete Guide to a Show Car Shine" cover to cover twice before I actually did any work. It really helped with both process and technique! Still plenty of room for improvement here but I'm happy how it turned out. Thanks to Brian at Autogeek too. He recommended the sealant & wax combo, plus which pads & speeds to use for them.

Awesome work! You got lots more nerve than I taking a polisher to paint for a first time! Hats off to you and welcome.

Tom
