Hey guys, I'm new to detailing and I just purchased the Flex 3401 black fire kit. I got 2 red, 2 white, and 2 orange high gloss ccs pads in 6.5 inches. I also have the backing plate system, but like I said only 6.5 inch pads. I've seen Mike Phillips say that the 5 inch pads (or maybe it was 5.5 inch) from the hybrid line were the way to and to get black, white, and orange. Should I return my stuff and switch to those? I haven't used them yet.

He does in fact recommend the 5 inch hybrid pads for use on the 3401.
I also use the hybrid pads (in both sizes) and feel they are the best pads for the 3401.

No sir. I have not used the hex logic pads.
