Just found out an old friend of ours died. Whats weird is apparently it was all over the news and everything, and I watch the news like crazy especially with my business, and never heard anything. Hadn't seen her in awhile and a few days ago was wondering how she was doing. Then my mother told me to look in the obituaries and said "didn't you know her?"

Sucks, she was a wild one when she was younger. Looks like she had her life on track now with work, being engaged etc. When they asked her friends she met at the bar they said she only had one drink and hung out for a little bit before heading back home. She had the lights and tv left on in the apartment which she never did, so when her fiance came home he just thought she was heading right back.

Oh my man I know how if feels to lose a friend, prayers out to her fam and your.

This story was one of the first ones I saw on Friday before heading to work. They had pulled the dark colored SUV out of the canal and knew a woman was in it. Just down the street from where I live ....

I think this further shows that we need to truly enjoy each minute we have been alloted, and cherish the people with whom we associate. I am certain she was deeply loved and will be missed.

Oh how sad! She was so young. I'm so sorry Surfer for the loss of your friend. I've had friends that have died too and I know it always comes as such a shock. People always expect the elderly to die, not the young ones. :( My condolences.

Man, that's really tough. My condolences for the loss of your friend. As Killr said to Wytstang about his loss....You just have to look back at the good memories and cherish them. It's very important to cherish each minute of each day with the people that are closest to you.

I thought you lived down that way, was wondering if you saw/heard anything. Still don't know how I missed it in the news. I checked her myspace and it was kinda creepy as some people we knew from years ago had just added as friends and had comments not knowing what happened. I hadn't seen her in quite awhile.
