was looking for a cheap way to hang tools & came up with this. it was pretty simple to do & cheap enough. had to enlarge holes in angle iron to insert fitting pass the first groove(nice & snug). then you'll be able to clip it on the skinny groove to hold it from slipping out. then I took 5/16 x 1 1/2 '' washers & opened them up to make a clip. I drilled the 5/16'' center to the dia. of the first groove. then I cut the slot the same size, so I could slide it in. this will pin the tool from sliding out. I also etched the edge of the washers & bent them up. this will give you a grip to pull them out. gotta say it works pretty good. just lift the weight of the tool up & pull the pin. thanks for reading.

the first pic shows a slot in the angle iron. disregard that pic. I tried doing slots in the angle piece but it was to sloppy & much harder material. you need to go with a hole so you can lock them in with a clip. it was much easier making clips out of the washers. I used a dremel tool for a precise cut. I even cut them tighter & fine tuned them with a file.

That is awesome!! I just bought one to drill onto my luxor detail cart for my mini air polishers and blow tools for blowing out my pads, but your homemade rack is much cooler!! I wish I had a creative bone in my body! Thanks for sharing!

X2- That is awesome! Very clever, and I like the caps for the air tools to keep anything from settling in them.

Also, good job conveying how it works in action with the pictures!

As you gents tend to say... Nice rack! You'd better patent that pretty quickly!

thanks Guy's. when you're waiting for winter to pass these are the things that help.
