Hose Nozzle Fetish

Found one locally. Not dramm, but hopefully it will work well. Bought a new hose in preparation for my new foam gun coming in tomorrow!!
 
I really want for this nozzle to work...so I basically took apart my entire hose, reel, connectors, etc. Here's where I see two possible bottle necks:
  • The quick shut off valve - the Gilmour example in my earlier post in this thread demonstrates how the shutoff valve could be a bottle neck. I can tell you that my shutoff valve is most likely a bottle neck. It was a cheap $2-$3 one from Home Depot. For plant watering, it's just fine...for use with a fireman's nozzle, it could be a problem.
  • The quick connect - I have two types of quick connects in use right now....1 has a "flow preventer" unless a device is connected. This is to prevent your water from flowing in case the nozzle gets disconnected without shutting the water off first.
On the quick connect with a flow preventer, I manually pushed the flow preventer open with a screw driver. It is very clear that the opening is severely constricted.

It got dark out so didn't get a chance to reattach the hose to the spigot. My next test will be to reattach only the hose and nozzle to the spigot to see what kind of water flow I'll have with the fireman's nozzle.
