Can anyone reccommend a good hose to wash the car? Preferrably if you have one that is of the "kinkless" variety? Those generic Home Depot ones are complete crap!

Thanks

Home Depot has Good Year hose(orange-red I beleive). That's a good one. $40 for 50 feet.

Sears has a good one I picked up, I think it was $20 for 50 feet.

Sears Craftsman (black in color)...great, long lasting hose with the Craftsman guarantee!

I had a good one. Not sure where I got it at, but my lawn mower ran it over....LOL.

I've got a couple of black rubber Craftsmans hoses and I would like to give them both back. My other black hoses don't have this problem but my Craftsman ones always turn my hands black. I've scrubbed the heck out of them, they just shed rubber.

I used one of these at someone elses house detailing their car. Good hose.
I liked it enough that I want one. I want a 100' foot to reach my garden.
I also wash my truck a good distance from the house as there is shade in
the afternoon. I have not priced a 100 footer yet. Anybody see one and
know how much. My biggest problem is hose reels. I have to buy one every year as they start leaking. I try to drain them and do not have a garage and they stay outside. It's hard to keep them drained when you wash you car
all year and in the winter in bitter cold.

Sears green with a white stripe and it was like 50 ft for 25 bucks. Lifetime warranty so whenever I want a new one, I will bring it back.

After years of fighting with "kinkless hoses", thought I would try something else. Bought a plain black rubber hose, made by Goodyear. Used it for about 4 months now, and it works great. About $20 at HD. Only a 50', but it serves my needs.

buy a commercial grade unit, and 75 minimum for around the house. Great for cars, pressure washing, and other items. Never found one brand to be much better than the other.

Wow... Lots of great and different ideas and experiences.....

I hate dragging out the hose so maybe I'll go with Justin's retractable....
although I am intriuged by the goodyear at HD. Will check out both.
Amazon has a "kinkless" line... but I dont know if I want to deal with Amazon to buy a hose.
After doing some quick research on google, alot of the kinking issues has to do with how the hose softens in the heat.... so in the winter its not as bad (for us NorthEastern'ers anyway!) as a real hot day.. Like the one we had on Friday when I washed the car.

Thanks or the info !!
