The Hot Rod Power Tour kicks off Friday in Charlotte NC, and ends in WI Dells. The stops are Charlotte, Knoxville, Charleston WV, Sandusky OH, Crown Point IN, Bettendorf IA, finally Wisconsin Dells.
If you're somewhere near any of these stops try and make it out. If you've never been, the amount of cars that come out is amazing. Plus you get to see cars that you don't normally see.

I'll be there tomorrow for sure!

Try to go to every stop that is close by for the last ten years.

You really do see some unique cars at these.

Nothing like having a stop in your own "backyard"!

I'm here. I think I'm the only person that's ever done all 20 years of it.

If you show up, come by our big rig and say hi. I usually get in about 3 PM as our cars follow the route (the big rig and crew goes ahead the night before).

I'm in the red ZR1.

I go on stage daily about 5 PM or so. I'm the resident meteorologist and stand up comedian. I give away product and try to make people laugh so they can forget how much it costs to fill the tank.

This sucks because I stopped by around 6pm and wanted to buy some stuff but you guys were putting everything away so I put my head down and being all sad lol. But before I got to you guys I stopped by the 303 trailer and it was the same thing. It would have been sweet if I could have came home today with some new stuff to try out. Very nice cars though.

The vendor areas starts packing up at 5 or so. They have to tear down and drive straight to the next city, then set up at 9 am. The rig guys get less sleep than we do, and we get about 4-5 hours a night.

Sorry you weren't able to get here in time. You can always read about our travels and trials at Mothers Power Tour Blog

Off to check on our '59 at Rad Rides by Troy, then headed for beautiful Bettendorf, Iowa.

There is a group of guys driving Thunderbird SC's. They are doing the long haul. Each one of those cars puts down over 400RWHP. One actually puts down 500RWHP.

Yeah, the guys doing the long haul in the big rigs are pretty efficient at getting out of there. It's a rough week for all of them. They don't get to the next destination until. 12 or 1 at night, then have to set up the next day. I did the long haul in a 67 Chevelle. It's a great event, but it's nice to be home.
