Living in Las Vegas makes it a challenge to clean my vehicles in the summer. The house I am in gets full sun light on the driveway and is way to hot to wash the vehicle. Short of washing it at night what other techniques could I use to wash the vehicle. Once the vehicle is washed I can pull it into tha garage to do the rest of th vehicles.
Thanks in advance

Living in south fla is a challenge as well, maybe look into the rinseless wash products that you can do in the garage.as I do detailing for a living washing in the sun is hard I repeatedly keep the car wet until I dry,and when I dry it's very quick .

That's what I'm gonna have to do I guess. Would a rinse less work too? Or would it cause water spots?

As long as you do small enough sections, with enough product, you should be ok. Have your MF towels within reach at all times.

I ordered some more with my last order. I'll be sure to order more when I purchase some waterless or rinse less shampoo

Also (Depending on vehicle size) you could get a canopy for a relatively decent price to provide some shade while your washing anywhere from 10X10 - 10X20 or something larger if that's what you fancy.

I have thought about a canopy. I might have too. It is a Silverado 2500 crew cab. So it's a big truck. The car is an accord. So nice and small.
I will probably be doing 6 am washes too if I don't get a canopy. But with my work schedule who knows.

I run into the same problem here in Arizona in the summer time.... I would just do my washes around 9pm when the sun has been down for a while already and I still move at a quick pace to dry

6am bucket wash. Nuff said.

I agree, I get up earlier to get all my stuff ready and finish washing before the sun is fully out.

Looch10, you said you have a garage you can pull in to. Why not do a rinseless wash In your garage. That is what I do to avoid the sun if I do not need to do a full on water wash. I recommend wolfgang rinseless wash with the ultra soft rinsless mitt. AMAZING COMBO!!!

When I was in Vegas I did as much as I could in the garage. The sun rose against the back of the house so my driveway was shaded in the morning.

If I got started late in the day I simply washed in the garage with the garage door vented open about 24". Also make sure to squeegee the floor to remove standing water.

Now, will the truck fit into the garage or is it lifted and wont make it?

early morning wash or rinceless or canopy are your best options. i'm in AZ so i feel your pain when trying to wash cars in the summer. for me rinceless and waterless wash have been my go to for maintenance washes on my personal cars and customer cars.

I use megs d115 and do one panel at a time. Also I dilute 8:1 so it last longer but still cleans and leaves a good wax. Also I live in the Mojave desert

Also live in Vegas, corner house with sun all day. Before dawn pull the car out, set everything up at the first sign of light go to town. Like ZMC said neighbors think I'm nuts sitting in the lawn chair waiting for day break.

If you can try CR spotless, bit pricy but with the water quality in Vegas really helps. Also recommend useing some sort of drying aid/QD when you dry.

That is what I'm gonna have to start doing. I have yet to try a drying aid. I'll give it a go on my next wash. Thanks for the advice.

A vote for rinseless and waterless. Was sceptical of them before I tried them back in 2007 but am a firm believer now.

Rinseless and quick detail spray will be your friend as many have said. As a mobile detailer in the South, i schedule my details as early in the morning as possible and have a canopy.

Dude its not just where you live. I live at 2300' in the mountains of central pa and it can hit 100 at my house with 80% humidity at times. When it does that its early morning or late evening unless I have no other choice. Ill wipe the water spots off if needed.

I do extend my neighbors the courtesy of not running my DA until at least 10am.

Thats in my house/garage. I dont wash in my garage unless its rinse-less. I also have a 10x10 easy up, they go on sale all the time at outdoors stores. I paid $60 for mine 5 years ago.
