How and what do you use to remove wax stains from trim etc..?

I have some wax on some trim and plastic pieces I need to remove. Any cleaners or anything you use to help get that off?

I use a pink eraser, seriously!

On the wiper cowl on my '06 F150 I use use Poorboy APC, diluted to 10:1 or 12:1 ( normal use for PB APC is 15:1 ) and a stiff brush to scrub the snot out of it.

Just had to go through and do this the weekend before last. This past winter I was sloppy in applying LSP and too lazy ( stupid ) to make sure to use freezer paper under the hood & up the windshield, as not to get polish and LSP on it.

I just looked, and noticed I missed a small spot of dried product, next wash have to try to remember that spot.

last order I got some of the Duragloss wax eraser to try, but have not yet.

The brush I use with the PB APC is the OXO grout brush

On the wiper cowl it is a no brainer, but around body work, you would want to tape off the paint with 2 layers of blue tape, else you will be taping off the trim and removing defects on the paint again ( circle going on here :laughing:

To me it seems a liquid product isn't going to get down into the pours though, this is where the pink eraser does its magic, the resistance of rubbing it across the surface of the rubber or plastic part just gets down in there and get's it out w/o a problem. After you've wiped it off, just apply your favorite dressing to even things out!

Pre-WOW and a stiff brush is great!

I usually will try OPC at full strength first with a stiff brush. If that doesn't work then Pre-WOW it is.

I used Pinnacle pad cleaner. Spray a little on a pad or towel, rub off. Worked great for me.
