How can I find local classes to take to learn how to detail (rotary, pc?)

Meguiars is still doing them, as far as I know. They are in Irvine.

I have faith in you, you just need to be a "go-getter". Go out there and try, try, try again. :grouphug: You're not using anything so abrasive you'll cut clear through your clear coat, in fact, as you've experienced, it's not easy taking a stab INTO that clear coat either.
I know you can do it!!

I just do not want to see any (insert any word you choose for female sex organs here.) Seen them my whole life - I AM female, remember? lol
I'd be happy with learning how to use the pc better and move on to rotaries.

Lauren...I do not know how far you are from Meguiars..but if you really want to know how to do paint correction..Mike Phillips is the one to teach you..he is an artist when it comes to finishing paint..they have a open Garage weekly I think where you bring your car there and work on it...plus they have a seminar ..being a all day ordeal..they teach you from color sanding to rotary polishing..and proper combos ..you get to work on your car also...
Every one that has gone has said it was the best learning experience they ever had...plus they feed you and give you a product bag to go home with..nice deal..
And no man boobs to look at...LOL....

Ditto. I said way back when, his class is worth $1,000! Invaluable information he teaches. I drove 4 hours to go to the all-day seminar. Holy smokes was it worth it!
If you're within 8 hours of Irvine, I highly advise you going. That is if Mike is still employed by Meguiars.

I too have been looking for lessons on a rotary here in Calgary but I think I'll just keep practicing and get together with Calgarydetail here to give me some pointers. I would love to take a course but if I'm going to do that I would take a course on painting as well...not sure if it would be worth if for me really because this is my hobby. I could see my self opening a business, actually I have a friend of mine that is opening one right now and I might be his partner. I'll just supply the money and he will be in charge of running it...who knows really but it's good to look at options.
