how do I clean wheels with clear coating?

Sorento stock wheels have clear coat on it.

That clear coating thats on your wheels is just like the clear coat on your paintwork therefore car soap, spoke brush/various brushes and microfiber towel is a good way to maintain them on a weekly basis through every six months you could deiron the wheels with iron x and when theres stubborn dirt apc (all purpose cleaner) should do the trim lastly dont for to apply a sealant onro the wheels and after each wash update the lsp with spray wax

thanks for your reply.

Yes, i do the same regimen i.e. regular car soap with a spoke brush (daytona) and dedicated wheel wash mitt. If i neglect them for a while i do use APC occassionally and have never had any issues although i keep them sealed up most of the time.

1. P21S Wheel Cleaner (w/ Daytona Wheel Brush)
2. Iron-X and Claying are optional
3. Paint polish, as needed
4. Seal or Coat ....

There are different types of wheel cleaners in the market to cover all types of materials and situations.

Wheel finishes are not much different than the clear on your car. Those who routinely seal or wax their wheels see much less build up of brake dust and grime compared to those who don't...

Believe it or not, if you wash your car weekly then the same soap and water solution will clean your wheels just as well as it does the cars finish. When it comes to heavily soiled caked on brake dust and grime this is when you'd opt for a wheel cleaner.

So very true. I take this approach on my personal vehicles and I've not had to use wheel cleaner in years.

As the others said, a maintained car can get by with just car wash shampoo. I keep a pre-mixed bottle of car wash solution with a Tolco foaming sprayer that I use for wheels, wheel wells, and some pre-treating.

This is probably the best recommendation. Granted once or twice a year you'll want to hit them with iron-x/tarx.

If well maintained you only need a good car soap and water.
I don't have to use strong wheel cleaners often, mostly during the cold winter months.
Meg's All Wheel and Tire Cleaner is a good over the counter product if you have really dirty wheels.
