I have a layer on my wheels right now, how do I go about stripping it off to apply something else?

Just use a light polish. What kind of wheels and how long has G5 been on there? You probably don't have to do anything, but be sure the surface is squeaky clean.

The wheel have clear coat on them and the G5 has been on there for about 3 months. Is optimum hyper polish spray something strong enough to use for this purpose? Also is a mircofiber towel sufficient to use or I need some kind of hand polish pad? Thanks.

OHP may not be strong enough..do you have the compound? If not, pick up Meg's Ultimate Compound OTC. Do you have an old cutting (orange) pad? Just cut it into 2-3" squares. They do make hand polishing pads.
