How long should garden hose be?

From the tank to the pressure washer? Is the shorter the hose the better? I have like a 25 footer, and my pressure washer sits 2 ft away from my tank

Most of the time, I have a 50 ft. hose which runs into a 1400 PSI Karcer PW (yes, the little electric one), and then 45ft. of PW hose.

When I do my own vehicle, I run a 2 ft. (yes, 2 ft.) into my PW and then the 45 ft. extension.


Always have had sufficient pressure and never noticed a difference.
 
Where in the heck did you find a 2ft hose?
 
"longer is always better" ... or so Ive heard !! (Wink, Wink)
