So I was wondering, how many coats of wax do you guys put on your cars? Just one? Two? More than two? :buffing: Is it worth it or just a waste of money?

2 coats are better then one. You can also add a third coat...but that's it if you ask me...3 coats are plenty...I recently polished out my DD with Powergloss/SIP and put 3 coats of ZXF'ed Z-2...Dude, that's some sealant, I tell you!

two coats is likely the best option, assures proper coverage. The point of diminishing return likely rears its head also.

Usually I only do a single coat of each product, but DGPS really responds well to a second coat. If I am not planning on waxing I will almost always do a second coat of my sealant. The problem with multiple coats is the cure time between them if you are working on customers cars.
