How much do you spend per month on detailing supplies?

Ummmm too much... I'm slightly embarrassed by the amount I spend on a yearly basis, but I guess all that matters is that I am profitable haha

It would be a lot easier if I would just stop coming onto these forums and seeing people post reviews about "the next best thing" because then I just have to try it for myself.

Depends what I got on the go, If I'm busy maybe 100 bucks

:iagree:
I'm in the same boat. I have spent $ this year on equipment & supplies. AG loves me though :grouphug:

I was looking over my receipts the other night, bad idea

enough. just a weekend detailer here. my hobby. wash every weekend till the cold weather hits, then i am out. supplies come inside. i did the neighbors car once for cash. other than that, just my personal ride.

not every month, not yet :D average.. I could say 10 per month
but maybe next month I start to spend a lot, I need a DA

over 500.00 but june to oct maybe 200.00 tools 1500.00 a yr lic 100.00 to be insured 525.00 a year for 2,000,00 my shop 7,000.00 a year

On a monthly basis, averaged over the appx twelve years I have been buying better quality products.

$22.75 per month.

But it goes way up when the Geek has a 40% off sale on gift certificates. :xyxthumbs::hungry:
That's when I let everybody know what I want for my Birthday, Christmas, 4th of July, St. Patricks Day, Passover, President's Day, Happy Solstice Day, and of course Groundhog day.

Usually I spend $100

I take advantage of 15% or 20% off.

I make an order for
$125 @ 15% = $106
$125 @ 20% = $100
TOTAL

I then get free shipping and it's tax free

I also take advantage of BOGO and free samples too.

I spend a couple of grand a year but am constantly consolidating my product lineup and buying in bulk. After seeking sales, price matching, and straight up haggling suppliers for better prices I've saved a ton this year.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using AG Online

I know I spend more than I should LOL, I know the wife would be mad if she actually knew what the products cost and how much I've spent...

I'd imagine I average out to about $75 per month. I don't really buy any during the winter months. My last two AG orders were $100 a piece.

Too much. At one point it was about $100 a week. One point I figured I spent about 3k a year. Now I pretty much have everything I could ever want it need.

Uh feeling that pain. ;)

And this.

Were I to be heavily into "disposable income", I'd be disposing of a CRAP LOAD more monthly than I have over the last year, (which is in the $400+ per month range).

Well I am just getting started so it's a lot. I am building an arsenal for cover pretty much anything I can come across. Besides the Tools I am probably at around... 600$ in products in 3 months... so 200$ per month. This will drop drasticly now that I have pretty much everything I need.

Some of the things I purchased I regret, did not do complete research on everything and some of the products are either not what I wanted or I simply don't like them (Like mother's cleaner wax for instance). I had read about cleaner waxes but I was really disapointed when I used this product. It's supposed to be able to hide defects but from my experience either that is false or the hidding it can do is so minuscule it's not Worth mentioning.

But back on topic, we had a discution about product costs a few weeks back and numbers were pretty low, much lower than I had estimated. Your looking at usually less than 10$ per detail... so if it's just for personnal use, and you detail your car say once or twice a month, it's really not a lot of money once you have purchased everything initially.

200$ a month just about. That's more so acquiring everything "else" that I need. So, I expect this amount to drop drastically next year.
