wash
clay
swirl remover with M105
polishing with M205
wax with Gold Class

How much can I charge for this job?

thanks for your advice

Ben

125.00 to 150.00 here in sw fl. you can do better but you need to up sell. sealer/motor detail/ inside/and so on. the more you do the more you can make.

Good God, $125-$150? That's way too cheap for a 2 step, especially on an SUV. I could see charging that for a wash n' wax only.

I would try to get $250-$300 for multi step exterior only and that would include all jambs, wheels and tires

We just completed a job just like that yesterday and we charged $250. The difference is we did a sealer following the polishing and then applied a quality wax. This of course includes wheels/tires/trim and so on.

Detailing prices are different everywhere but like Robert (Impressions) said I would also charge around $300 or more for a 2 step paint correction.

A plumber get $100 an hour where I live. You take it from there. If you enjoy working for nothing be my guest.

You should base your price on the work time. You should expect so much an hour.

The same way you adjust your rate by what the client can afford you adjust the level of "detail" they get

explain the old saying "you get what you pay for" in a manner related to detailing their vehicle and the different levels of "detail" there are

Ya I just decided to change my pricing structure to an hourly rate for all services. Regardless of what I am doing to the car I will charge by the hr. When I am polishing paint I will be charging more per hour for that. I will set a cap on the job so the owner knows the max they will be hit for. I am tired of trying to explain to people what each package includes and why one package is much more expensive than the other. I am hoping this will make my life easier. I can ask what they want and what they are looking to spend and totally tailor it to the client.

300$ sound good for me!!!Thanks fore your help guys!!:xyxthumbs:
