I mean everything

Re dyeing carpets if stain does not come out

Buffing scratches on vinyl or repainting if paint is gone

Complete stain removal and shampoo carpets and upholstery seats

Extract carpets

Tornado and dust removal

Ozone shock treatment if car smells

????

Am I nuts. I usually charge at least 225

I bid interiors differently for every job I do. My baseline is $150 USD and that is for a coupe that's not neglected but in fair condition.

I have had them anywhere from $150-$500 depending on the expectations of the client and the neglect of the vehicle.

With that being said its hard to give a exact amount, It's not like i'm getting $500 Interior jobs everyday. On avg with going through my receipts it looks to be on a avg of $250-$275 for the works which in my mind no longer is a "Detail" But rather an Interior "Restoration".

I've been doing more interiors this summer. And I'm amazed how people think its ok to pay me 100 dollars after I just finished a 7 hour marathon decontaminating and cleaning the interior of there vehicle ?

Jesus some people want a hand out

Mine starts at $125 but I have to see the interior before I quote the price.

Thats why you tell the before hand how much you are charging. From what i understand you do the job first THEN you talk pricing? Like really....

You don't negotiate price first????

I have a basic detail in which i spot clean carpets and seats and pretty thorough in cupholders etc. This starts at 75.

My signature detail is extremely thorough and includes steaming of all fabric, carpet, leather etc. I protect with 303a fabric guard and 303a aerospace. No redying or painting. This starts at 150.

No I tell them the price before I started. He wanted a wiped own and a mild interior detail. But as I started the worse it got. I ended up just about doing the whole thing and after I was finished I told him the price would go up because of the agreement and contract he signed before beginning. However he refused to pay

No offense but you made a couple of big mistakes here. First of all you should have given him the price you needed from the start. Changing the price AFTER you do the work is bad business. Second of all you should have simply given him the service he wanted unless he wanted to upgrade. If someone wants a wash and wax, don't give them wash, clay, polish, seal and expect them to pay more because YOU thought it needed it.

^ This I have learned also

once you agree to the pay rate and then you have to keep your word on the agreement. Then attempting to changing it looks bad.

Makes sense to now of why you should charge per hour for paint correction for example.

Do what you agree on, throwing in freebies without permission can get you in trouble. What if he's allergic to the wax you applied. (Crazy but could happen)

It ranges, I start at $160 for a small car and can go to $500 or more for a nasty quad cab truck. For Big rigs it is $60/ hr as the clock turns. Semi's can be stupid bad with grease in dash switches and major smoke damage along with pure pigginess. You can be in a bunk model for 12 hours sometimes.

Start at $120 cars $150 anything bigger. A lot of what you do I charge extra for. Some of what you do I do not even offer.

Just make sure you see the interior before quoting a price you can get burned really easy.
