I've got a 2007 Mustang and want to put louvers on the rear quarter windows. Most of the louvers I've found are attached with double sided tape. How do you clean the windows after you've attached the louvers? Not sure I like the idea of not being able to clean my windows.

Feed back please

Most of the louvers I have seen the vent isn't actually open, on other cars not Mustangs. If that is the case you wouldn't have to worry about cleaning behind them. However if the vent is open then you would either have to remove and replace the adhesive everytime you want to clean your windows. Give up and have dirty windows. Or find an very strong hook and loop fasner that you could put on both surfaces (window and louver) that would allow you to remove it for cleaning but then re-install without having to cut new tape. Or maybe get some very very strong magnets that could be attached to the louver and then have the corresponding pole inside the car on the window itself. Without knowing a whole lot about how they are attached thats about all I can come up with off the top of my head. Good luck! :props:

Maybe check with a Mustang forum of the best louver option on the market that enables you to get to the glass for easy cleaning?

When it comes to the rear windows, you used to be able to get louver kits in which the louvers would lift away from the glass via a hinge while the frame support stayed in place.

There's a new kind of hook and loop fastener I've been reading about through my work. It's a steal based type of Velcro, but it can take a load up to 35 tons!!!! Maybe that would work?

Would a Glass Wizard fit between the bottom slat ???
