Why is always a clean car on those videos ? This is a how to clean a clean car ? Just put a dirty car in there and show us how really the products works please.
Yes, they always seem to be done with wheels that are only lightly dusty, like they were washed 3 days ago. It you want to show how well your wheel cleaner or wheel cleaning tool works, at least use a dirty wheel, as in one without wheel wax or sealant on it that has been driven for at LEAST 2 weeks, if not 3 or 4.Hey it's video, everything is scripted lol. Those "how to clean wheels " always get me.

Xactly! The point being, the primary focus of a video is to share technique.
Why?
Because most people watching a how-to video are trying to learn what to do when they go out into their garage.
Thus showing technique, the way you use the tool, could be done on paint in bad condition or good condition. It means more if you show the before and after results on paint in bad condition but technique "could" be shown on any condition of paint.

Thanks for the feedback Mike, but those pictures are from swirl marks and scratches and such things instructions, for that you need to wash the car 1st,obviously you're are not going to remove swirls on a dirty car or wash the car to show how to remove swirls...
You could always combine technique + real life elbow grease too, like show a video on how to use a 2 bucket method and also teach the proper way to wash and dry a vehicle.other example would be wash a dirty wheel/tires followed by sealing the wheel and dress the tires .Then you could use a light color leather and show how would you bring back to it's original color etc...There will be always a newbie trying to learn.
I just think we need more Les Stroud type of videos and leave the Bear Grylls videos alone.rops:
I love the vids as much as the next guy, but modeling a brand new Camaro or a brand new corvette won't cut...
That's why I love the forum reviews here, it's always a beaten up pile turned into something great!
The magic you see users do in those filthy interiors
(Look at the KIA thread going on now)... Mind blowing. I'd like to see these kind of videos on AG.
It's been posted elsewhere in the forums, but my business made a how-to video about cleaning car carpets; to save time, we started with a floor mat pulled out of a junkyard and cleaned that just as a small example. Here's the YouTube link: How To Clean Car Carpets - YouTube
Professional looking video,thanks mang.rops:
That is a phenonmenal video, but one thing I noticed is that the tech completely missed some of the edges during the agitation process. I was thinking, ugh, doesn't he see that??lol That aside, it's a very well presented and informing video. It really broke it down thoroughly. For an instructional video, it gets a 9.9 out of 10. (If he didn't miss the edges it would be a 10)It's been posted elsewhere in the forums, but my business made a how-to video about cleaning car carpets; to save time, we started with a floor mat pulled out of a junkyard and cleaned that just as a small example.
